AJOYO - ATA RODO LONDON EXHIBITION 2020

There's a magical buzz and an excitement that fills the air when a group of strong-minded, beautiful and talented females come together in a room to celebrate their fabulous-ness. There's an even deeper and more spiritual energy that is felt, when they are all women of colour coming together to celebrate a new platform for their voices and ideas to be heard.

AJOYO, was the first exhibition put on by ATA RODO LONDON. It's founder Funso Foluso-Henry, wanted to create an exhibition where women of colour can present their artwork in a space where it's cultural influences are understood, whilst getting the exposure that it deserves...and it certainly didn't disappoint!

An array of artists, photographers, comedians, poets and musicians were able to come together and proudly share their creations with eager spectators, and attentive audiences. I had the pleasure of being one of them, and I can honestly say that I felt so at home. It was like being a part of a family that I never knew I had. The feeling that you're a small fish in a big pond that usually comes with being a female artist of colour, immediately transformed into a feeling of confidence, and ambition, and oneness. I highly recommend any art lovers and artists looking for an exhibition with a difference, keep their eyes peeled for future events put on by ATA RODO LONDON!
